Educational music games can be extremely beneficial, to all ages. Music can sometimes be overlooked, as not an essential teaching subject. This is a sad factor.

Most children love music and movement, at the ages of 5 to 7 years.

Give your child lots of encouragement...

Singing is not only fun, but will give your child a sense of melody, build on vocabulary, concentration and much more.

All these factors will help your child’s schooling and school work.

It has been proven that children, who learn a musical instrument, can concentrate longer, express their feelings better, which make them happier children and have better grads in school.

The best way to enhance your child’s learning with music is to encourage listening to different types of music, from times gone by or from different parts of the world.

You can do it in a variety of ways that are enjoyable and fun, educational music games don't have to be boring.

Let your child’s own interest and enjoyments guide your choice of lessons and activities.

If your child wants to play the drums and you want them to play the violin, then you could possibly, make your child lose the enjoyment of music all together.

Making music together helps children to explore and express their thoughts and feelings, and builds on memory skills.

Around the age of 7 years old your child should;

  • Sing songs from memory.

  • Keep a steady rhythm when singing and playing music.

  • Start making their own simple musical patterns, by choosing different sounds.

  • Describe sounds using words such as ‘high’ and ‘low’, and by using musical symbols.

  • Be able to improve on their own work.
